This was probably my favorite part of the site to make. Before and after every show there is the loading and un-loading of gear. So much more than brand names, knobs, wood, and pedals, these are the tools a musician chooses to create with. Most of my sound is based on my influences like Santana, Jimmy Page, Jerry, and Steve Kimock. I really try to make my distorted sound to be like Carlos and the clean/steel sound to be like Steve Kimock. Forgive me, guys, if it doesn't come off like that; imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I have searched high and low for some of my gear and some has fallen right into my lap. My gear, at times, was the only thing I had. When I moved out to Oregon, a few clothes and my gear was all I brought. I love all this stuff! The only thing that sucks is hauling it all around. Everyday, sometimes 4 and 6 times a day, it is by far the worst part of the job. I was the musical director for the Youth Performance Company play, "Midas and the Golden Touch." The play had a cast of 30 8th to 12th graders in it. Well, word got around the cast that I played in a band around town and one of the kids who also was starting to play a little guitar asked, " Man, it must be so cool to play here and then go out to the clubs and rock out. Someday I wanna do that. What's it like?" he asks. "You wanna know what it's like.." I say, "Go throw this amp in my car." I couldn't resist. I love that one. Well, since it is such a love hate relationship, here it is: the gear page. If I'm going to haul it all around, then at least this makes it a little more worth while. Hope you enjoy!
