The actual board was given to me by my friend Frank Leonovich, who had gotten it from the music store where he worked. I was sick of setting up pedals at every show so to make things easier, I built this pedal board. I got a chance to talk with Steve Kimock, who to me is sort of a guitar tech guru. He said that you should configure the pedals in the order that you use them the most frequently. So here you have it: A/B box (steel/guitar)> Tuner> Vox wah> auto wah> '73 Smallstone (chorus/phase)> Volume> Digital Delay. I made my own "snake" for it with automotive tubing, so all you do is plug it in to the wall and amp and that's it, I can be set up usually in less than 10 minutes. This can be very handy if I'm running late, or at festivals when there are bands after us.
